Motörhead / Black Label Society Tour

Motörhead / Black Label Society
Australian Tour for March 2011!!!

Taken from press release:

How much heavy rock can one country take? Australia is about to find out as two of the worlds loudest, fastest, heaviest bands head to our shores to raise hell in the service of rock n roll.

Motorhead play correction - Motorhead ARE loud, fast, dirty, bluesy rock n roll with an unrivaled, ruthless attitude; obnoxious yet dignified. For over 35 years the band has maintained their strong hold as a force of unrelenting sonic power. Motorhead has uniquely pioneered both heavy metal and punk rock, and is revered by aficionados of both genres. Theirs is a sound and a way of being that sees their fan base continue to grow year after year, and that has rightfully solidified Motorhead as living legends of hard rock.

Motorhead is personified by the gravel-laden vocals, phenomenally articulate lyrics and rumbling bass playing of founding member, figure head and demi-god, Ian Lemmy Kilmister. From his days as a roadie for the Jimi Hendrix Experience to playing bass in 70s psychedelic rock band Hawkwind, to forming Motorhead, Lemmy has mowed his own path, defying odds, balking stereotypes and ignoring fashions, fads and trends. Of him, ex- Guns N Roses guitarist, Slash (who played on Motorheads 1992 album, March or Die) says, Lemmys like one of my all-time f*****g heroes... I really appreciate everything about him.

Best known for their huge, groove-ridden riffs, earnest, heartfelt ballads, and ear melting guitar solos, Black Label Society is built around the talents of the incomparable guitar god, Zakk Wylde. His is one heavy metals great fairy tales. Recruited by the Blizzard of Oz, Ozzy Osbourne from his day job as a gas station attendant, the then 20 year-old Zakk became both the envy and the hero of millions of bedroom guitarists the world over, literally overnight. He has graced countless guitar magazine covers around the world, has his own custom guitar lines through Gibson and Epiphone, and was recently anointed a Golden God by Metal Hammer and bestowed a Best Guitarist Award by Revolver.

Have no doubt: this is big, this is heavy; this is epic. Whether youre a rocker, a metal head or simply one who appreciates a legendary performance, the Motorhead and Black Label Society 2011 Australian tour is not to be missed."
